College
JB studied at Brasenose College, Oxford from 1895 until 1899. JB’s brother William
(Willie) also studied at Brasenose from 1900 until 1903 returning from India in the
summer of 1909 to complete his BA degree. Both brothers studied Classics and
History. JB enjoyed a term as President of the Oxford Union Society.

Autographed menu cards from the 50th Anniversary Dinner
of the Oxford Union Society held on 22nd October 1873. It
contains the signatures of Lord Selborne the then Lord
Chancellor and Lord Salisbury who was Prime Minister for
periods in the 1870s.
